Awhile ago I shared a video explaining why I decided to send back the Fuji X-T1 that I had purchased to buy an Olympus OMD-EM5 Mk II
(If you missed that video, you can watch it here)
Then the other day I was browsing around YouTube and I stumbled across a video that was a response to my discussion of the Fuji’s EVF performance…
…so I watched it.
In the video, the photographer gave a demonstration of using the Fuji to manually focus in low light, and referred to me as a “goofball that sold his Fuji X-T1 for a junky Olympus”
Now, I want to make it VERY clear, that I don’t have beef with this photographer, and I’m not trying to prove me right, or prove him wrong with this video.
I’m also not at all upset that he called me a goofball…
…In fact, it made me laugh.
The reason I took the time to record today’s video was to reiterate my overall philosophy and goal in doing what I do…
…and that goal is to share my experiences and knowledge to help be a better photographer.
But that’s not even the main point of this video!
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it with my last breath.
The camera hardly matters, it’s you, the photographer that makes the difference.
It’s you the photographer that creates amazing photos.
The camera, whatever camera you might be using, is just a tool.
And my goal is to help you make an informed decision when you choose your tools, and to help you learn how to use it.
And if that makes me a goofball, then a goofball I will be.
